Best Area to Stay in Dubai for Families
If you’re looking for a family getaway, then Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) is the place for you!
JBR has a lot to offer to appeal to families including vast numbers of restaurants, activities, and of course, the beach!
Dubai is packed with entertainment options to suit all sorts of fancies. Notably, JBR is home to the must-see Flying Cup, a brilliant opportunity to look upon the wonders of the city whilst tucking into a delicious meal.
With the luscious beaches comes all sorts of fun, from lounging in the sun to heart-pounding water sports. However, if this isn’t your scene, families can also unwind at the cinema or shop at the Marina Mall.

Best Area to Stay in Dubai for Couples
This one can be subjective topic. If you’re an active couple looking for experiences, great nightlife and attractions, then Downtown Dubai is the place to be.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for more relaxation, luxury hotels and private beaches, then choose Palm Jumeirah.
Best Area to Stay in Dubai for 3 Nights
If we were staying in Dubai for just 3 nights we would choose JBR. At JBR you get a taste of most things, including luxury hotels, the beach, fantastic restaurants and great shopping.
JBR is also a stones throw away from Dubai Marina, Bluewaters Island and Palm Jumeirah; meaning you can cram in more area’s in less time.
A lot of people do opt to stay in Downtown Dubai on a short trip to Dubai. This is due to the large amount of tourist attractions and close proximity to Dubai Airport. Either would offer a great 3 night stay in Dubai, but we choose JBR!
Best Area to Stay in Dubai for a Honeymoon
This can be a similar choice to looking for the best area to stay for couples.
However, if we have to choose we would choose Madinat Jumeirah area. Madinat Jumeirah is home to a fantastic host of Jumeirah hotels, an Arabian Souk, romantic waterways, the beach and some great restaurants and nightlife.
What makes this area even better for a honeymoon is that it’s only 20 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from Downtown Dubai.
You’re only big issue with choosing to stay at Madinat Jumeirah will be which Jumeirah Hotel to choose! But don’t worry, we’ve got a guide to help you on that.
Best Area to Stay in Dubai for Sightseeing & Attractions
Dubai is jam-packed full of sightseeing locations, but we can assume that most people will at least want to visit the Burj Khalifa!
The Burj Khalifa, is of course the tallest building in the world standing at a whopping 830 metres. That is approximately the same height at 150 giraffes! Therefore, for avid sightseers we recommend staying in the Downtown area.
Along with the Burj Khalifa, you can check out the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, various galleries, The Dubai Mall, and be mesmerised by The Dubai Fountain, especially if you catch the light show!
Downtown Dubai is central to a lot of attractions and offers a range of hotels that can suit your budget and needs.
Best Area to Stay in Dubai for Luxury Hotels
Looking to make you break a bit more glamorous? Look no further than Palm Jumeirah.
The man made Palm Tree Island is home to some of Dubai’s most extravagant hotels and restaurants. Palm Jumeirah is also notably home to Atlantis, The Palm, which contains celebrity restaurants, an aquarium where you can swim dolphins, and even a waterpark! All right on your doorstep. If that is not luxury, what is?
The island also plays host to various water activities such as snorkelling and water sports, relaxing spas, and even skydiving for the adrenaline junkies out there!

Best Area to Stay in Dubai on a Budget
Wanting somewhere that doesn’t hit the bank account so hard? We recommend looking at Deira. Close to Dubai Airport and Downtown Dubai, transport costs will also not hurt your pocket staying in Deira.
Deira is home to the popular gold souks, where you can wander the markets and find so many intricate and dazzling jewellery items. These are particular hotspots for looking for tasteful gifts or simply admiring the markets.
You can also find various museums, the Dubai Dolphinarium, take a fly on a Seaplane, or try your luck at mini golf. Do not forget to check out the impressive architecture of the Deira Clock Tower!
Accommodation wise, the prices will vary, but a lot of hotels in Deira range from 125AED to 375AED per night which is great value for money.
Best Area to Stay in Dubai for Culture
Dubai is home to various areas of culture, but which is best suited will depend on your fancy!
Al Fahidi is certainly an option due to it being known for holding a lot of history in Dubai, but a lot of the historical neighbourhood has been renovated over the years. However, there are still courtyards, museums and wind towers to peruse.
If you are more interested in traditional culture, we would recommend Deira due to the various markets. Deira is also one of the oldest districts in Dubai, so you are able to immerse yourself in history too.
To indulge yourself in the culture, you ought to check out the previously mentioned souks, which are usually for gold and spices! However, there are museums for you to get a further grasp on the Dubai culture and history. You can then relax at one of the quaint cafés.
Deira is a must for those wanting an authentic traditional experience.
Best Area to Stay in Dubai for Business
Not travelling for leisure? Dubai is certainly able to accommodate for business too.
For a location that is far enough away from the hectic tourism, but close enough to still enjoy it, we would recommend Dubai Marina. There are plenty of hotels around this area which offer business centres and conference rooms to aid your trip.
Best Area to Stay Outside of Dubai
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay outside of Dubai, but within travelling distance, we’d recommend Sharjah.
Sharjah is just a 30 minute cab ride away from Dubai and offers tourists cheaper hotels and less crowded area’s to explore.
Buhaira Corniche is the place to be in Sharjah for the perfect waterfront experience or alternatively head to Mamzar Beach Park. What’s more, with Sharjah being located on the outer city limits of Dubai, the desert isn’t far away. Just a ten minute drive can have you on an open road in the desert where you can pull over and have a picnic on the sand!
Head north of Sharjah and you will arrive in Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, which both have great historic places to visit as well as unspoilt beaches too.
