First of all, let us take a look at the main expense of any vacation and that’s the food.

Dubai has so many fantastic places to eat out and so we’ve factored this in every day to arrive at our total cost of food for a week.

The average cost of lunch for two at a mid-range restaurant in Dubai is 250AED according to Numbeo.com.

We have increased the cost for dinner to 350AED which takes into account a couple of alcoholic beverages with dinner on an evening. Alcohol in hotels and restaurants in Dubai is more expensive than in most other places.

A filling breakfast with coffee can be found at most places across the city for around 100AED per couple. We’ve also included snacks and drinks with it during the day. To give you an idea of food costs in Dubai; an average Coca Cola is 4AED, a cappuccino is 18AED, and a bottle of water is 1AED.

The next thing to consider while wondering how much spending money to take to Dubai is transport. The cost of fuel in Dubai is extremely cheap compared to most other big cities in the world and thus, taxi rides are relatively cheap here.

However, Dubai has an amazing metro system that can get you around the city in record time and for a fraction of the cost.

For ease, we’ve factored in a taxi cost to and from the airport to Jumeirah Beach. But for the rest of your time in Dubai we advise that you use the public transportation like metro, trams and buses by purchasing a nol card.
