Dubai World Cup
If sport is more up your alley, you certainly do not want to miss the Dubai World Cup!
The horse racing event will feature nine races across the course of the day with some of the biggest racing names involved. The Dubai World Cup is also considered the world’s richest day in horse racing as well as a sporting highlight in the calendar year.
If you can’t make the big day, there are plenty of other horse races and events all across the month of March. It is an excellent time of year to visit if you are a fan of the races!

Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race
If you prefer to be nearer the sea, then perhaps you will enjoy the Dubai Traditional Dhow Sailing Race!
Hosted by the Dubai International Marine Club, this will be the second heat of the race taking place over 60ft. This time of year is the best in terms of water and weather conditions, so you will have arrived at the perfect time.
Dhow boats are traditional boats of UAE so you will also see a nice piece of Emirati culture and heritage during the sport!

Dubai Fishing Competition
Sticking with sports, perhaps you are more interested in fishing?
This is a great opportunity to head down and see all the different fish species the UAE has to offer whilst immersing yourself in a bit of culture. It is also hosted by the Dubai International Marine Club.
Watch as competitors battle it out to reel in the largest catch and take home first prize!

Dubai Food Festival 2021
Steering away from sports, you can still catch the Dubai Food Festival in March!
If cuisine takes your fancy, the Dubai Food Festival is certainly worth a visit. There is a lot to experience here from guided food tours to limited edition menus to cooking masterclasses. There is plenty to try depending on how involved you want to be! The festival opens your eyes to the more unusual gems as well as fine dining and street food, so there are lots of tasty dishes to try.
The bonus is that you do not need to worry about travelling to a certain location as the festival is across the city. The Dubai Food Festival is unmissable for food lovers!

If you are more into witnessing spectacular sights and amusement parks, then pay the Global Village a visit!
Wander through a strikingly lit wonderland that features rides at the Carnaval, shows, dining, and Pavilions from all around the world. This is a must-see visit which is suitable for the whole family.
Dubai’s Global Village is a brilliant way to enrich yourself in cultures from around the world whilst marvelling at dazzling shows and thrilling rides. The Global Village is a great way to spend an afternoon and evening under the lit wonders of Dubai!
The spectacles at Global Village run from October to April but this is still a great spot to hit when visiting Dubai in March.

What is the Temperature Like in Dubai in March?
March is an ideal travel time to Dubai as the weather is warm and dry. You can expect to see highs of 29°C and lows of 18°C. The temperature is perfect for evening strolls on the beach and staying out in the daytime without feeling too overwhelmed by the desert heat.
In terms of the sea temperature, you can expect to see averages of 22.8°C throughout March which is an ideal and pleasant temperature to swim at. You can expect to see highs of 25.6°C and lows of 20.5°C so you can certainly enjoy an early morning or nighttime swim!
